EuroNavigator and our partner company Rimac Automobili attended this years EU industry days. Mate Rimac, founder of Rimac Automobili, was the Inspirational speaker at the EU Industry Days, an event that has gathered more than 1500 participants from across Europe and beyond, including stakeholders representing industry, trade unions, national and regional authorities, and civil society. This year’s edition has focused on key industrial challenges such as sustainability, digitization, investment and globalization. At such important, high-level event of the European Commission, Mr. Rimac shared the inspiring story of his passion for cars and how already at the age of 17 he had 2 patents filed. Starting his business from a garage at which he has reached a turning point by remodeling his BMW E30 into a racing electrical vehicle. Now at the age of 31, Mr. Rimac employees more than 300 people and has been awarded the best Croatian employer for several years in a row. He has expanded his business to 3 continents, North America, Europe and Asia. Mr. Rimac has also disclosed the plans of his company for the future aimed at further expansion and growth, with a particular focus at building of skills and capacities through Rimac academy as a response to serious brain drain Croatia is facing. Mr. Rimac and his company are a success story, an example of what EU wants to endorse through its initiatives and programmes! After his inspirational speech, Mr. Rimac was invited by Mr. Jyrki Katainen, European Commission Vice-President for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness to join him and other EU high-level officials for a closed dialogue.
