After the 2018 devastating forest fires that engulfed large areas across Dalmatia, the Scout Association of Croatia, in cooperation with the Croatian Forests and the Mountain Rescue Service, launched the largest voluntary afforestation action in the burned areas of Dalmatia called ‘Boranka’. Boranka has so far encouraged tens of thousands of people to join the largest reforestation volunteer action ever held in Croatia. The Croatian Scout Association, as the main organizer of Boranka projects, plans to recruit more than 4,000 volunteers this year. Most recently the Boranka campaign was awarded the EuroEffie, Europe’s most prestigious marketing efficiency award. EuroNavigator is proud to have supported the Boranka campaign through public policy, visibility and fundraising.
